Pupils learn about how to
handle their personal finances effectively. Pupils learn about what types of
high street banks can offer and how to open a bank account. Pupils also learn
the importance of budgeting and the ways in which they can save their money. |

Internet Safety |
Pupils revisit year 8
work the dangers of computers, mobile phones and the internet. Pupils learn
how to keep themselves ‘cybersafe’. |

Drugs
Education Every Child Matters:
Be Healthy & Stay Safe |
Pupils learn about the
effects of illegal drugs and learn how dangerous drug taking can be. Pupils
have an in-depth look at alcohol and solvent abuse. Pupils learn how the
School will deal with drug related incidents and how to support their friends
and family through a problem with drugs. |

Relationships Every Child Matters:
Be Healthy & Stay Safe |
Pupils learn about the
importance of healthy relationships. They learn about how the media and peer pressure
can influence their behaviour and how to resist pressures. Pupils learn about
the risks of early sexual activity such as STIs,
HIV and AIDS and how to protect themselves from such risks. Pupils also learn
how to deal with loneliness. |
