Below is the transition process which takes place from June in Year 5 until the students have completed their first term in the September of Year 7.

Miss Spence visits primary school with new year 7 students to discuss transition.

Middleton Technology School Open Evening

Secondary school application forms returned

March
Congratulations letter from Middleton Technology School and request for interview
Miss Spence sends forms to fill in about interests and hobbies

May/June
Interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team

July
Induction Day – opportunity to meet form tutor and form and experience a day at secondary school.
New Parents Evening – hosting on the evening of the induction day an opportunity for parents to meet Senior Leadership Team and form tutors.

September
First day at Middleton Technology School

November
Settling in Evening – an opportunity to see how your son/daughter has settled in to school both academically and socially.  A Parents Evening will be held in June towards the end of year 7.
