| Extended Schools What is an Extended School? A school located at the heart of the community meeting the requirements of the every child matters agenda.
An extended school works with the local authority and other partners to offer access to a range of services and activities which will support and motivate children and young people to achieve their full potential. and easy referral to specialist support services The benefits of an extended school is to improve relationships with the students, parent carers and the local and wider community, enable activities to be shaped around the needs of the community. It will allow for greater flexibility, convenience and accessibility for families enabling a balance of life between work and family commitments. Improve flexibility from 8am - 6pm for full or part-time workers.
