Tuesday 24th February 2009 saw the launch of the OFSTED report "Twelve outstanding schools excelling against the odds". Our school was featured as one of the 12 consistently outstanding schools in the country. The Governors of Middleton Technology School are extremely proud of your achievements. On their behalf I would like to extend our congratulations to all staff and students for your hard work to ensure that the highest performance is achieved and maintained in all our activities and especially in our teaching and learning.Yesterday the School got a lot of media attention. I have to say that the performance of the young people in front of the cameras was of the highest calibre. I am sure it took a lot of courage and I want to send you my special congratulations. I have read the report myself and I intend to ask my colleagues on the Governing Body to study it too. For although we are being held up as an example of good practice and high performance, it contained many good ideas that might even inspire us to higher achievements.
